This 2 dvd boxset also includes a book with photos from these 2 films as well as of rare cinema posters for KZ's work ( some of which I haven't seen before ).

Like the previous KZ Japanese boxset release on Broadway label; the deluxe packaging is again highly colourful & appropriate to the spirit of KZ

The print / transfer is excellent though not immaculate ( unlike the recent Japanese release of KZ's "The Stolen Airship" - or - even better the French DVD of his "Sindbad" [ even though this latter only contains 5 of the 7 sindbad shorts ] which re image was, as far as I could see, perfect ).

Re the present Baron / Verne DVD boxset :
again no English subtitles ( please release one in the UK or US with subs & dubs in English all you DVD-releasers ! )
But still sublime even without this; especially re The Baron where the Czech accents often sound ridiculously melliflous & expressive ( especially Milos Kopecky as the Baron )

Well done Broadway !

All we need now is the final 3 Mr Prokouk films by KZ from the 1950s -

ie :

Mr Prokouk friend of the animals ( or some such similar title )

Mr Prokouk Detective

&

Mr Prokouk Acrobat

One of these at least ( Acrobat ) is in colour I believe.

Please release these Broadway; then we'll have the complete Karewl Zeman oeuvre !!!
